Description
Rapeseed cake is one of the most popular food supplements for animal diets. It is a by-product of rapeseed oil production. About 50 million tons of rapeseed, which was originally used only for technical needs, is grown annually all over the world. Rapeseed pulp contains 4 to 18 percent fat and 31 to 36 percent protein.Due to the high content of fiber and low content of starch, the digestibility of rapeseed meal is much lower than that of soybean meal. In addition, this product, especially obtained from plants of old selection, contains anti-nutritional substances: glucosinolates and erucic acid, which are the cause of the bitter taste and specific mustard smell.
